Hosting permanent and changing exhibits of North Carolina pottery, the museum displays works from more than 90 area potteries. Located in Seagrove, the center is only 10 miles north of downtown. The museum’s permanent exhibit chronicles the history of North Carolina pottery from prehistoric Native American work into the 21st century; guided tours are available, including demonstrations on pottery throwing by artisans.
Open Tue. - Sat., 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.; Closed Sun. - Mon.
Adults $2; Students grades 9-12 $1; Students grades K-8 are free. Guided tours are $3 per person. Tour with throwing demonstration are $5 per person.
